Company: Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd
Location: Gruyere Gold Mine, Western Australia. A joint venture between Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources, commissioned in 2019, producing over 300,000 ounces annually with a projected production profile exceeding 10 years.
Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will provide qualified geotechnical support to help achieve development and production targets while ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards.

This on-site role follows an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, with options to fly in/out from Perth or drive from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
* Provide geotechnical services by understanding, complying, mentoring, and liaising to ensure statutory compliance and safety standards related to ground control.
* Collect and analyze geotechnical data, investigate rock fall events, and address ground control issues.
* Perform daily geotechnical tasks, including mine plans, drill & blast plans, survey instructions, inspections, data collection, monitoring, analysis, and QA/QC.
* Identify and manage geotechnical risks, developing systems for monitoring and mitigation.
* Collaborate with the team to prepare and issue hazard maps and monitoring reports as needed.
About you:
* Completed bachelor’s degree in Geotechnics, Mining Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
* Extensive experience in Geotechnical Engineering, particularly in open-cut mining.
* Familiarity with Rocscience Software suite.
* Knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
* Membership of AusIMM (CP preferred) is advantageous.
