About the project
Abergeldie is working with Transport for NSW to deliver the New Dubbo Bridge as part of the Newell Highway Upgrade. The new bridge will improve traffic congestion in Dubbo and enhance access across the Macquarie River, particularly during flood events. Scope of work includes Construction of a new 660m, dual-lane, 20-span high-level bridge over the Macquarie River, along with 2.2km of the Newell Highway and upgraded intersections between Thompson Street–Whylandra Street and River Street–Bourke Street.
About the Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled Civil Supervisor with strong experience in bridge infrastructure to join our team in Dubbo on a fixed term contract till July 2026. Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and coordinating on-site civil construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and in line with program.
* Leading and managing site teams and subcontractors to ensure effective use of resources, productivity and quality.
* Ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality and environmental standards on-site.
* Tracking project progress, reporting on milestones and proactively identifying and mitigating risks or delays.
* Maintaining accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheetsand material usage.
* Fostering a culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement across all site operations.
What You'll Bring to the Team
* Demonstrated civil construction supervision experience across road, bridges and related infrastructure projects, with familiarity in Transport for NSW standards and requirements highly regarded.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate site teams effectively.
* In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials and industry standards.
* A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* A current driver's license.
* Open to a contract and must be willing to be based in Dubbo or FIFO from Sydney for the duration of the project, with LAFHA provided.
* Fly out Monday morning and return Friday afternoon.
