Expert Breast Care Nurse Opportunity
The Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team in the McGrath Foundation-funded breast care service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical advice to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals within the specialty of breast disease.
This role requires strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to provide consultancy advice, education, and support to individuals, their families, nursing staff, and other health professionals. You will work collaboratively within the team and contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of breast care services.
To be successful in this role, you must have relevant postgraduate qualifications in breast care nursing or cancer nursing. Additionally, you should have at least five years of experience as a registered nurse in either surgical or medical oncology, with at least three years' experience in breast care nursing or a related discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert clinical advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals within the specialty of breast disease
* Develop and implement strategies to improve continuity of care between breast cancer and other healthcare services
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Selection Criteria:
1. Registered nurse with at least five years of post-registration experience in surgical or medical oncology
2. Relevant postgraduate qualifications in breast care nursing or cancer nursing
3. Demonstrated expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with breast cancer
