**Department Summary** 
The Custody Account Service team provides Australian, New Zealand and Asia - Ex Japan clients with support for new and incremental business activities, fund manager, mandate restructures and client exits. 
The team works closely with Relationship Managers Client Service Account Managers, New Business Implementation Managers, Deal Managers, Transitions Team and directly with JP Morgan's clients. 
The team's activities and schedule vary month by month, depending upon client activity and as such needs to be flexible in its approach and attitude to provide the best support and service to our client base. 
Custody Account Service team is responsible for: 
- Management and co-ordination of complex client requests including fund restructures, launches and transitions 
- Governance and Oversight of Account opening & maintenance for clients, in line with internal and external client SLAs 
- Project management for new client on-boarding's for account openings and markets 
- Product maintenance for new accounts relating to client facing technology entitlements 
- Management of business-driven programs to support regulatory, product and business changes 
- Solid oversight over regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. 
**Position Summary** 
The CAS Senior Associate is responsible for the implementation of new and incremental business wins in relation to custody account openings and the co-ordination of market documentation activity. 
This role partners with the sales and relationship management, J.P. Morgan's sub custodian network, client service, and transition team in order capture client business requirements. You will be responsible for regular reporting to senior J.P. Morgan management on key performance and key risk indicators. 
The position will require interactions with senior personnel either internally or externally. Thus, this requires expertise in the custody and value-added fund services provided to clients and involves competencies such as effective time management, negotiation, influencing and communication skills. 
**Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities: 
- Assist in the following functions that the specialist team support for new and existing clients: 
- Coordinate and govern the set-up new accounts on JPM's internal custody and accounting platforms. 
- Management of static data updates/details on internal systems where necessary. 
- Work closely with clients and relationship team on the set up of custody accounts with local agents. (Omnibus, 
- Segregated & documentation markets) 
- Support queries involving account opening and market documentation from both internal and external stakeholders. 
- Support and coordinate both global and local adhoc projects. 
- Maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures. 
- Other associated account opening functions as required. 
**Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge** 
Knowledge and Experience Required: 
- High level of interpersonal and relationship building skills including strong written and verbal communication skills 
- Demonstrated skills in ability to solve problems and drive decisions within tight timeframes with clients and internal teams (both locally and globally) 
- Ability to anticipate, manage and resolve problems that may within the account opening and market documentation processes 
- Demonstrated ability to track and manage SLAs with internal teams in order to deliver on time, to requirements and to agreed quality standards required by clients 
- Proficient in Excel and Word 
- Experience/Exposure to Alteryx, Tableau, or other digital/data tools ideal but not essential. 
Previous Career Experience Required: 
- Minimum of 7+ years global custody experience including detailed knowledge of account structures, market, KYC documentation requirements for international markets and all types of Australian Entities. (Superannuation and Asset Managers) 
- Ability to be flexible, follow deadlines, organize and prioritize work. 
- Strong focus in client service management 
- Strong stakeholder (internal and external) management. 
- Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels. 
- Managerial Experience ideal but not essential.
