 
        
        Family and Domestic Violence Specialist
This role is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in domestic violence to join our team. As a Family and Domestic Violence Specialist, you will provide mobile support to individuals experiencing domestic violence in the Gold Coast area.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years paid experience in the community and domestic violence sector, as well as highly developed risk assessment, safety planning, and case management skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or Social and Behavioural Sciences are also essential.
This role provides timely responses to individuals who require immediate crisis assistance. You will promote each client's safety, strengths, and goals through individualized case plans and services, assisting them to live independent safer lives with increased well-being and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Completing comprehensive domestic violence risk assessments and intensive case management coordination referrals for additional services.
 * Providing crisis support and case management for individuals experiencing domestic and family violence and/or trauma, including those from diverse backgrounds.
 * Demonstrated working understanding of relevant legislation, theory, and practices related to the provision of family and domestic violence experienced by individuals.
Selection Criteria:
 * Able to articulate a comprehensive feminist analysis of FDV and an understanding of trauma and its impacts on women.
 * Demonstrated experience in providing mobile outreach support to individuals experiencing domestic violence, including those at risk of homelessness.
