Senior Program Officer

* This is a Clerk Grade 9/10 role with a salary range of $129,464 - $142,665 per annum plus superannuation
* Ongoing based in Sydney NSW - hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs
About the Office of Responsible Gambling
The Office of Responsible Gambling (the Office) leads the development of gambling harm prevention strategy and public policy advice to the NSW Government.
We support and manage the Responsible Gambling Fund consistent with strategic direction, objectives and associated governance arrangements
Our teams develop and implement programs and initiatives to prevent and minimise the risk of gambling harm in the community.

About The Role
As a Senior Program Officer, you will lead and oversee a range of funded GambleAware services across NSW. This includes counselling services, cultural capability initiatives and other programs that improve support for people experiencing gambling harm.
You will ensure services are delivered effectively and in line with contractual and governance requirements, including in relation to program budgets. A core part of the role is driving continuous improvement and ensuring that services are coordinated, responsive and evidence‑informed.
You will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to understand service performance and support quality improvement. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives that prevent and minimise harm.
Key duties include:
* Leading and contributing to the procurement, management and evaluation of support services
* Monitoring and reporting on service delivery by funded organisations to ensure fidelity with the service model
* Working with government and non-government stakeholders to promote continuous improvement across the service system.
* Collaborating with internal and external teams to design and deliver new initiatives as well as improvements to existing services.
* Applying effective governance, risk management, reporting and performance monitoring to all programs and projects.

About You
You bring strong experience in planning, delivering and managing programs and projects. You have worked in community or human services or have experience overseeing services that support people and communities.
You are confident managing budgets and maintaining financial control across programs and projects.
You also have experience designing and implementing strong governance structures and reporting standards for programs and projects.
You are a skilled stakeholder manager who can lead engagement, negotiate outcomes and work effectively within governing policies and procedures.
You have experience in, or knowledge of human services and/or public health initiatives.
