Position: Allied Health Reception/Administration Assistant - Casual Position
Hours: Min 10 hours per week with additional hours likely over the coming months - start end April.
Applicant must be available to work Tuesdays and Fridays, 1.30pm to 6.30pm and have flexibility to cover shifts as arranged.
Remuneration: $35.15/hr - Support Staff are paid under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award. Level 4.

Our rooms are located within a large health facility, providing staff access to onsite café, pharmacy, GP clinic and many other health providers. There is ample onsite parking.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring our practice runs smoothly and efficiently. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their experience with us, so a warm and friendly manner is essential.
The person in this role is responsible for providing reception and administrative support to clinicians and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This includes managing client enquiries, payments, and appointment bookings, as well as offering administrative support services to clinicians working remotely (Telehealth) and onsite (F2F). It is paramount that the person in this role has the ability to multitask and manage challenging situations and people effectively.
Due to the busy nature of our clinic, the successful candidate will work the majority of their hours alongside a second reception staff member, making the ability to communicate and coordinate work tasks with a fellow team member essential. During quieter periods, staff members may also be required to work independently, managing their time and tasks accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcoming clients with a warm and friendly demeanour
* Managing appointment bookings and schedule coordination
* Handling phone and email inquiries- intake
* Processing payments, rebates and invoicing
* Maintaining accurate client records
* Assisting with administrative tasks as required
* Providing support to practitioners working remotely and onsite
* Coordinating and communicating work tasks with a fellow reception team member
The Ideal Candidate:
* Has prior experience in a reception or administration role, preferably within an allied health/medical setting
* Possesses the ability to stay cool under pressure
* Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Shows proficiency in using office software and practice management systems
* Exhibits a professional and positive attitude
* Capable of multitasking and managing challenging situations effectively
* Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
