**The Role**
Situated in Hopkins Barracks within Puckapunyal Military Area (PMA) at the School of Armour Operations Cell, the APS 3 Administration Officer (AO) plays a significant role in the provision of Administrative and business support directly supporting the unit Operations officer and their staff.
The APS 3 AO is required to work closely with external agencies and contractors such as Ventia and Thales within guidance and is accountable for the continued management of unit relations. The APS 3 AO will work closely with a team of Defence Members and other APS employees and may be required to assist in the conduct of APS 5 Business Intelligence Operations (Finance).This is a desk-based position involving computer use and working with others towards shared goals in a team-oriented team environment. This role offers a distinctive chance to contribute as a foundational member of the Operations Cell, which will see the APS 3 AO be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
**About our Team**
The role of the School of Armour is to deliver mounted combat individual training in order to prepare soldiers and officer for employment in the integrated force. The Operations Cell is response for the planning, coordination, de-confliction and resourcing required for the subordinate instructional wings to deliver training. The Operation Cell in also the conduit of information between our higher headquarters (headquarters Land Combat College) and any other stakeholder external to the unit.
The SOARMD Operations Cell team is a small, motivated, highly professional and experienced team working in an integrated workforce comprising full and part-time Military Personnel, APS employees and the School of Armour as a unit, employees a variety of contracted support staff at various ranks and levels.
