We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Workshop Supervisor to join our Automotive On-Highway team in the Wetherill Park Workshop.
Key Impact
* Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of technicians and apprentices
* Consulting with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth process from beginning to end
* Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reporting any issues or incidents to the Branch Leadership
* Completing required documentation
* Being a hands‐on tools Supervisor from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Heavy Diesel Automotive Mechanic (cert III) is preferred; a Light Vehicle background with heavy experience may also be considered
* Experience working on engine products and heavy on‐highway vehicles (e.g., Kenworth, Western Star)
* Experience using electronic troubleshooting systems and following defined OEM procedures
* Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence is advantageous
* Previous or demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring in a workshop environment
* Effective communication and organisation skills
* Self‐motivated with exceptional organisational skills and able to multi‐task in a high‐pressure environment
Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of technicians and apprentices

* Ensure safety, environmental and compliance standards are met
* Maintain accurate documentation and records
* Provide practical, hands‐on guidance to the team
Compensation and Benefits
* Monday to Friday day shift (6.24 am‐2.30 pm) plus 2 Saturdays per month (shift allowances apply)
* Competitive hourly rate paid as a permanent salary
* Overtime paid at penalty rates for hours above the standard 38‐hour work week
