About the role Join the Child, Adolescent Mental Health Forensic Service to provide cultural expertise and clinical recommendations for Aboriginal children, adolescents and their families involved with the Youth Justice Systems, with mental health issues.
Provide direct expert care for Aboriginal children and their families and cultural leadership to multidisciplinary staff.
Key duties of the role Provide culturally informed engagement, assessment and interventions to youth at Kurlana Tapa Youth Training Centre and engaged with the Adolescent Sexual Assault Prevention Program.
Provide supervision, training and education Contribute to research and evaluation programs Skills and Experience Extensive experience in providing assessment and interventions for Aboriginal children, young people and their families experiencing complex mental health / social and emotional wellbeing difficulties.
Demonstrated experience working in social and emotional/mental health services and/or other relevant community services, and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
