DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician to work out of Alice Springs, NT.
In this permanent, embedded role, you will provide breakdown and scheduled maintenance service to our local clients and specialising in engine maintenance and repairs across mining applications.
Reporting to the Darwin Branch Manager, you will be the sole employee on location and this role requires you to work autonomously while operating within a broader regional and virtual team environment.
You will make an impact in the following ways:
* Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
* Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
* Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees
* Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced On Site Technicians and/or Supervisor
* Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
* Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
* Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
* Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor

* Full Time, 38 hours per week
* Overtime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours

Experience:
* Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III or equivalent)
* Significant level of workshop or field service experience required
* Expert level knowledge of and experience with power generation and/or engine products
* Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant qualified
* Cummins experience highly preferred
* Power Generation (Mechanical) experience is desirable but not required
* Remote Field Service Work experience highly preferred
You will need a locally valid driving permit
