About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Generalist Lawyer with at least 2 years Post Admission Experience (PAE) to join our growing team in Ballina. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer who is confident managing a diverse caseload, enjoys client contact, and is looking for a long-term career in a supportive Firm.
Key Responsibilities
* Sustain a diverse caseload across the Firm's full spectrum of practice areas, including but not limited to those listed above.
* Provide tailored legal advice and prepare various documents including but not limited to correspondence, court filings, commercial contracts, estate planning instruments, and IP filings.
* Represent clients effectively in various forums, including court appearances, mediations, and negotiations.
* Conduct thorough legal research and legislative reviews to ensure accurate and current advice.
* Engage proactively with clients and other professionals including courts, opposing counsel, regulatory bodies, with clarity and professionalism.
* Manage matters efficiently through accurate file maintenance, billing, and timekeeping using Leap.
* Collaborate on firm initiatives, community engagement, business development, and knowledge sharing.
Key Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience in various areas of law.
* Current NSW Practising Certificate.
* Strong advocacy and courtroom experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and work autonomously.
* A client-focused, empathetic, and pragmatic approach to legal practice.
* Strong attention to detail and high standards of professional ethics.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice and client service.
