Overview
Slewrig Constructions is seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Perth, WA as a Crane Operator/Rigger (when there is no Crane Operating tasks). You will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of construction equipment, ensuring the successful completion of projects. This full-time role is an integral part of our construction operations, with opportunities to grow and develop your career within our dynamic organisation.
What you'll be doing
* Safely and competently operate a range of crane equipment, mobile cranes, to lift and move materials and equipment on construction sites
* Conduct pre-operational checks and maintain crane equipment in good working order
* Interpret load charts, lift plans and other technical documentation to ensure safe and compliant crane operations
* Communicate effectively with site supervisors, riggers and other team members to coordinate crane activities
* Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and Slewrig's policies and procedures
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
What we're looking for
* Formal qualification as a certified Crane Operator. Preferably with a CO qualification but will accept a C6 qualification, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated ability to safely operate a variety of crane equipment, Pick and Carry Franna Cranes All terrain mobile cranes
* Strong working knowledge of crane load charts, lift planning and safe rigging practices
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals
* Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to all relevant regulations and safety protocols
* A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to continuously learn and improve your skills
