Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Leading Hand to join a 12-month long‐term road infrastructure project based in the Scenic Rim / Gold Coast region (Tamborine). This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing crews, subcontractors, and civil works including pavements and drainage, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise civil crews and subcontractors on site
* Oversee pavement, drainage, and road construction works
* Plan and coordinate daily and short‐term work activities
* Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site
* Manage QA, reporting, and site documentation using digital systems
* Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and stakeholders
Mandatory Skills
* Proven site-based experience in civil construction / roadworks
* Experience leading crews in a Leading Hand or similar role
* Confident using digital site systems (Dashpivot, SiteMate, AssetVision)
* Strong ability to read and interpret civil drawings
* Solid understanding of QA processes and site reporting
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Desirable Skills
* Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction
* Traffic Management Implementation (TMI)
* Experience with TMR specifications or road infrastructure projects
* Stabilisation or pavement construction experience
