About Us
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here - providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
At Salvos Stores, we are not just a retailer - we are a community of changemakers working together to make a real difference.
As the retail arm of The Salvation Army, we are dedicated to raising funds that support life-changing programs for those in need. We operate over 400 Stores across Australia (including online), offering a sustainable shopping experience through the recycling of pre-loved items. Join our diverse and collaborative team in the role of Volunteer Retail Assistant; you'll play a vital role in supporting our store operations.
You'll work alongside a dedicated team of managers, support staff, and fellow volunteers, while gaining valuable skills, making new friendships, and contributing to your community. You'll be helping raise much-needed funds to provide essential services to those who need it most.
Please note - this volunteer role is not a paid position.
