Lab Management Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, leading a team of technicians in Port Melbourne. The ideal applicant will have extensive experience in construction materials testing and possess a recognized qualification in laboratory management.
Main Responsibilities
* Oversight of laboratory personnel working at the Port Melbourne facility.
* Ensuring efficient operation of the laboratory, with adherence to established testing protocols.
* Calibration of equipment and maintenance of records.
* Communicating expectations regarding safety and sustainability within the team through visible leadership.
* Compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Ensuring technicians are adequately trained and qualified, with up-to-date training records maintained.
* Scheduling and allocation of internal and external testing services for project conformity.
* Conducting site visits for quality assurance purposes.
Requirements
* At least 5 years' experience in construction materials testing - concrete and aggregates.
* Possession of a recognized qualification in laboratory management or equivalent.
* Analytical skills to present complex data in a usable format.
