Manufacturing Plant Director
About the Role
We're seeking a seasoned manufacturing professional to lead our 24/5 precision machining operation. As a hands-on leader, you'll drive daily production to meet master schedule targets and shipping deadlines while focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead daily manufacturing operations with a focus on SQDC.
• Manage and coach supervisors, cell leads, and planners.
• Drive daily production to meet master schedule targets and shipping deadlines.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks through Gemba walks and tier meetings.
• Improve processes using structured systems like 5S, standard work, and FOD controls.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and scheduling teams.
• Oversee KPI tracking and support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own training, performance reviews, and employee development for manufacturing staff.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in manufacturing with strong preference for precision machining experience.
• 4+ years in leadership roles such as Supervisor, Superintendent, or Value Stream Manager.
• 3+ years in an aerospace environment with AS9100 certification.
• Strong problem-solving, scheduling, and floor leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Familiarity with GD&T and Six Sigma practices.
