Queensland Electrical Contractor seeks an Electrical Engineer to work on major industrial projects

Your new role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering expert-level support across a range of varied projects. This temporary engagement is expected to commence immediately and will run for an initial period of 4 weeks. Your responsibilities will include:
* Designing LV and HV (up to 33kV) systems, including support during construction and commissioning
* Writing detailed earthing and reports using IEEE 80 and ENA-EG0/EG1 methodologies
* Performing load flow, short circuit, cable sizing, and arc flash calculations using SKM Powertools
* Reviewing and marking up electrical drawings such as schematics, SLDs, and equipment layouts
* Conducting protection settings and relay coordination
* Supporting programming and commissioning of switchgear (highly regarded)
* Good knowledge of Large Customer Connections or Energex standards is advantageous but not required.
What you'll need to succeed
To hit the ground running, you will need:
* Proven experience in electrical design and commissioning
* Strong verbal communication and technical report-writing skills
* Proficiency in SKM Powertools PTW32 and ground mat modelling
* Experience with switchgear programming and commissioning (highly regarded)
