Base pay range:
A$127,******/yr – A$150,******/yr

The Faculty of Medicine and Health champions innovation and excellence in teaching, research and clinical practice. The Sydney Dental School is consistently ranked among Australia's top dental schools, offering integrated research, clinical training and professional education. The Lecturer will support student education and strengthen the School's clinical and educational governance framework.
Undertake independent teaching and contribute to outstanding educational design, delivery, evaluation and outcomes.
Engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the University's standards for education.
Design and deliver quality educational units that support student needs and meet curriculum requirements.
Contribute to the development and implementation of assessment aligned with School, Faculty and University initiatives and policies.
Supervise undergraduate research students in accordance with School/Faculty/University expectations.
Apply scholarship and knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practice to innovate education.
Carry out administrative tasks primarily related to your discipline.
Contribute to a positive workplace culture valuing diversity, collaboration, excellence and achievement.
Support the University and Faculty strategic agenda.
About you:
A dental qualification registrable with the Dental Board of Australia, AHPRA.
Master's or PhD (desirable).
Experience in high-quality teaching in dentistry for all levels of students.
Experience in teaching and research in a tertiary environment, with evidence of teaching in an established program and in diverse settings.
Demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives.
Experience supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities.
Ability to work with discipline heads and course coordinators to develop and mark teaching materials and assessments.
Ability to undertake high-quality research studies and publish in recognised journals in line with the School's minimum requirements.
Ability to source and acquire research grants in line with faculty minimum outcome targets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Team-oriented, collegiate nature and experience working as part of a team.
Highly developed organisational and planning skills.
Demonstrates ability to work to deadlines.
Applicants must have unrestricted work rights in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Pre-employment checks, including the NSW Health required checks, will be conducted prior to appointment. A Working with Children Check clearance is also required.
