Executive Manager, Cash and Transactional Banking & Customer Engagement Compliance

**How will I help?**

As an Executive Manager you will be responsible for providing dedicated second line compliance support to the Consumer, Business, and Customer & Corporate Services divisions of Westpac, focusing primarily on Cash & Transaction Banking, and Customer Engagement (CTB & CE). Reporting to the Head of Compliance CTB and CE, you will assist in addressing compliance matters, implementing effective compliance framework's and operating models, and ensure there are no gaps in coverage with respect to Consumer and Customer & Corporate Services Compliance Divisions.

You will also be responsible for identifying and shaping issues including in governance forums, lead in identifying control gaps and weaknesses, as well as evaluating controls proposed by the business. Furthermore, you will also have coverage of the regulatory landscape and be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and advising on the external regulatory change agenda.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Working closely within the Consumer and Customer & Corporate Services Compliance team to develop proactive ideas and ensure consistency of approach with other business units
- Build effective relationships with other functions, such as Operational Risk, Business Controls Monitoring, Legal and Regulatory Affairs
- Engaging with business stakeholders as an effective strategic business partner to provide advice, insight, and support to the business on CTB & CE compliance matters
- Provide proactive, reliable, and relevant compliance advice, training, and monitoring solutions to address business needs
- Share learnings and best practice across Compliance to ensure optimum outcomes, enhance Self Development, and foster a culture of constructive collaboration and continuous improvement
- Support the Compliance coverage and engagement model to deliver a mature 3LoD model
- Support regulator communications and interactions, including ASIC, AFCA and OAIC
- Liaise with professional bodies to remain abreast of emerging issues and trends
- Maintain personal networks to assess Group practices against other industry participants and industry leaders

- Ability to adapt to rapid digitisation and technology change in financial services and Australian Retail financial product and services
- Experience in driving and managing strategic projects and programs of work
- Highly effective communication, influencing, internal and external stakeholder management, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills
- Working with complexity and ambiguity and managing through complex organisation and managing divergent drivers and objectives to produce optimal overall Group outcomes
- Degree qualified; minimum of a bachelor's degree
