Metro has a distinct advantage in that as a land developer and a builder we control a large proportion of our own land, in addition to having the ability to custom design on clients, or, our own land.
We are looking for candidates who have had five or more years of experience in the estimating area.
In particular we are looking for an individual who can order custom designed homes, and have the ability to do sales estimating.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate bills of quantities, produce material take offs.
* Produce and distribute orders within designated timeframes.
* Liaise with supervisors and other departments on relevant job orders and cost issues.
* Communicate with suppliers in relation to material orders.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in residential estimation, single and two storey custom built homes
* A good understanding of building practices and procedures
* A desire to work in a tight knit team environment and support others
* Be able to work autonomously with limited supervision
* Have the ability to prioritise and multi-task
* Have a strong numerical background
* Have a high level of computer skills
* Experience of the Databuild estimating package/ Bluebeam is beneficial but not essential.
Salary offered will vary according to Candidates background and relevant work experience.
