About the Role
You will work closely with service design, project delivery, and technical teams to define and oversee solution architectures across multiple work packages.
The role involves providing strategic technical direction, developing solution artefacts, and ensuring alignment with the agency's enterprise and future-state vision.
Key Responsibilities
Design, document, and govern solution architectures for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
Collaborate with service design and technical teams to develop solution approaches for upcoming transformation tranches.
Contribute to architecture artefacts, including technology roadmaps, policies, standards, and reference architectures.
Participate in Design Authority and Architecture Governance forums.
Identify and communicate technical risks, issues, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
Work with DevOps, Azure, M365, and related platforms to deliver scalable, secure, and modern solutions.
Skills and Experience Essential
Demonstrated experience as a Solution / Application Architect on large-scale transformation programs.
Proven ability to design and deliver solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Technical proficiency in:
Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps, Azure API Management, App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure B2C, SailPoint
Blazor, React, and other modern front-end frameworks
OpenAPI/HATEOAS, asynchronous integration, and composable architecture approaches.
Desirable
Tertiary qualification or industry certification in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience in Commonwealth Government ICT programs.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe).
