The Opportunity: Hall Contracting is looking for a Senior Boilermaker to join our Sunshine Coast Workshop team.
This opportunity will combine local work based in our Sunshine Coast workshop and the opportunity to join FIFO projects across Australia and internationally.

Monday to Friday, 6am to 4:30pm with some Saturdays as required Variety of work with exposure to a broad range of marine and civil equipment Opportunities to expand your qualifications, knowledge and skills through training Opportunities to advance your career Wages are base rate with penalties paid weekly with super paid on all hours Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and repair on heavy earthmoving plant.
Maintenance and repair on marine equipment (dredges, barges, workboats etc.) including hull replacement and modifications to structures.
Undertaking general fabrications including handrails, frames and pipework (25nb-900nb) Bucket repairs and rebuilds, including crack repairs and replacement of wear parts on a variety of buckets from 23T right up to 500T machines Adhering to all OHS Policies Procedures at all times and ensuring safety is not compromised About You: Boilermaker Trade Certificate or an equivalent qualification (essential) Experience in civil earthmoving equipment is highly regarded but not essential Experience maintaining/repairing marine equipment (vessels, workboats, barges, dredges) is highly regarded but not essential Experience in most welding processes on a variety of metals including GMAW, FCAW, MMAW and GTAW.
As well as air arc gouging, plasma cutting and thermal cutting/welding processes Ability to problem solve and think on the run, you will be involved in all stages of your task from concept and design, right through to execution The ability to be multi-skilled across a range of trades from fabrication to mechanical will be highly regarded Have sound computer skills and be able to work with our online maintenance/work order system.
