Rockhampton Hospital's Cardiac Services is rapidly evolving into a major regional referral hub. Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnostic, procedural, and inpatient services to the Central Queensland community through a multidisciplinary model of care. About the role:
* Provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy within the specialty of the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
* Lead operational initiatives and promote robust clinical governance to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
* Act as a technical expert, mentor, and role model within the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
* Direct the daily operation and intraoperative care delivered in the CCL.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and standards of care to drive service innovation.
* Foster a learning-focused environment through the provision of staff and patient education.
About you:
* You hold a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration.
* You possess a minimum of three years of recent clinical experience in interventional cardiology and proven nursing leadership.
* You have a postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Nursing (or a commitment to completing one).
* You are an expert in CCL and interventional cardiology settings, with advanced skills in 12-lead ECG analysis and Advanced Life Support.
* You demonstrate advanced critical thinking and decision-making skills to deliver person-centred care.
* You are a collaborative communicator who leads with empathy, integrity, and respect.
* You are committed to evidence-based practice and participating in incident management for continuous quality improvement.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $169,138 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $68.86 - $74.76 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
