We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician - Activity & Bakery to join our innovative driven team.This position offers the incumbent the opportunity to join the global bakery yeast product development team. Its' core remit is to support the global business units with the development and deployment of new and novel bakery yeast product technology and the testing systems used to validate product performance. This role will report to the Activity and Bake Team Leader.
**Responsibilities of this role include**:
- Clear and concise reports are prepared, drawing conclusions for non-specialists.
- Advice and troubleshooting are provided on matters relating to yeast performance, activity test methods and test equipment.
- Activity testing is performed accurately and reproducibly
- Perform bake testing and assess bake test loaves and report appropriately.
- Ensure ABM commercial product performance is assessed, and results reported.
- Develop methods which are suitable for monitoring the activity of factory products.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Food Science or other Science related Diploma qualification with previous laboratory experience - minimum 1 year.
- Experience in Industrial Yeast or Baking environment.
- Laboratory experience.
- Desirable - Laboratory, yeast, "activity testing" baking testing experience
