The Opportunity
We are looking for an Assistant in Nursing to become a part of our dynamic orderly team and provide support for AM, PM and Night shifts.
Key Functions Include
- Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
- Work as part of the health care team and practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters for AINs
- Assess patients' needs using therapeutic skills
- Answer patient/visitor/customer inquiries
- Transport of patients throughout the hospital
About You
You will be a minimum second Year Student Nurse or hold a Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services /AIN training.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Excellent ability to plan and prioritise the required workload
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and model Healthscope’s values
- Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired
- Ability to work autonomously
