Job Description:
The role of a PLC Technician involves ensuring the proper installation and testing of drilling rig control systems according to specification and customer expectations. This includes deploying and commissioning PLC based control systems hardware and software on drilling rigs globally, troubleshooting remotely and on-site when systems are down or malfunctioning, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully, developing alternative solutions, working well in problem-solving situations. The successful candidate will be required to travel to Ensign's field offices, rig construction facilities and drilling rigs working in the field.
