This position requires regular domestic and international travel. What you’ll be doing: Conduct efficiently install, “Set-to-Work”, commissioning and testing activities for SATCOM terminals Provide level 1 & 2 technical support to customers in country and overseas (troubleshooting and resolving reported faults, often outside of business hours) Deliver EM Solutions customer training packages in country and overseas Assist with system level testing and satellite certification on EMS Defence SATCOM terminals and products Contribute to the design requirements and help implement ongoing innovations on terminal design and manufacture Recommend product and process refinements to improve terminal performance, increase reliability and lower manufacturing costs Core skills and competencies: Proficient use of hand tools High level of customer service skills Ability to deliver training High attention to detail MS Office Suite experience Qualification and experience: Technical training equivalent to Graduate Certificate level in Electronics & Communications Previous experience in the SATCOM industry or similar would be ideal 3 to 5 years of experience operating and maintaining satellite terminals or equivalent equipment Previous Field Technical Support experience required Construction Card mandatory Work Safely at Heights & Confined Spaces certificates will be highly regarded Possession of, or the ability to qualify for, an Australian Defence security clearance (baseline minimum, NV1 preferred) Australian Defence Force (ADF) veterans are encouraged to apply!
