Role Overview:
Fennec Services is seeking experienced and reliable skilled carpenters for both local and remote work opportunities. This role offers high pay rates, flexible arrangements and the chance to work on a variety of residential, commercial and remote-site projects. You will join a small, supportive team that values quality workmanship, safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret plans, specifications and schedules to deliver works to scope
* Complete accurate material take-offs and report material needs to supervisors
* Set out works and ensure finished work conforms to dimensional requirements
* Operate hand and power tools, plant and small machinery safely and efficiently
* Undertake finish and remedial works to a high standard
* Work independently or as part of a team, supervising apprentices or labourers where required
* Travel to and work on remote project sites for extended periods when required (~2 weeks)

Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Qualified carpenter or equivalent trade experience
* Proven experience across residential builds, renovations, fit-outs or commercial projects
* Ability to work to drawings, specifications and quality standards
* Experience supervising small teams and mentoring apprentices advantageous
* Current relevant tickets and licences (e.g. white card, forklift, elevated work platform) preferred
* Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to remote sites
* Physically fit, reliable and able to work extended shifts on remote projects
* Strong communication skills and a client-focused, problem-solving approach
