We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Researcher to join our team in studying the molecular mechanisms of neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's disease.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral research scientist to work on projects that focus on understanding the causes and consequences of Alzheimer's disease. You will be working under the supervision of our Program Head, who has extensive experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct independent research using in vitro systems and animal models to investigate the molecular mechanisms of neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's disease
* Develop novel methods required to progress the research and submit high-quality outcomes for publication
* Effectively communicate scientific results verbally and in written form, including presentations and publications
* Contribute to grant proposals, animal colony management, and student supervision
Requirements
* Molecular/cell biologist/biochemist trained in neuroscience with experience in neuronal and glial cell signalling
* Strong expertise in associated synapse function and AD/dementia field
