Position:
Urban Enterprise is a leading planning, economic and tourism consultancy which operates Australia wide with offices in Melbourne and Perth. We are seeking a graphic designer/marketing officer, to support our team in a part time or casual role to be based in our Brunswick office.
The Graphic Designer / Marketing Support Officer will be responsible for delivering high-quality graphic design, document presentation, and marketing support across Urban Enterprise. The role ensures all reports, tenders, presentations, and marketing materials are visually professional, consistent with brand guidelines, and fit for purpose. The applicant will be proficient in Adobe design and Microsoft office suites.
This position plays a critical role in supporting business development through the preparation of compelling, well-designed reports, tenders, and digital content.
The position will work closely with company Directors and senior staff on tender submissions, high quality report outputs and marketing collateral.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design & Document Presentation
* Design and produce high-quality graphics, infographics, maps, diagrams, and visual content for reports and presentations.
* Update, maintain, and refine templates for reports, proposals, and tenders to ensure consistent branding and professional presentation.
* Format and present technical reports and tender documents using Microsoft and Adobe suites.
* Work closely with technical staff to translate complex information into clear, visually engaging content.
Brand & Template Management
* Maintain brand consistency across all documents, marketing materials, and digital platforms.
* Update and manage the organisation's suite of templates (reports, proposals, presentations, letterheads, marketing collateral).
* Support the ongoing development of brand guidelines and visual standards.
Marketing & Digital Support
* Maintain and update the company website, including content updates, visuals, and layout improvements.
* Assist with the development and upkeep of marketing materials such as capability statements, company profile, Staff CVs and digital assets.
* Support marketing and business development activities as required, including campaigns, announcements, and promotional materials.
* Collect and maintain catalogue of photos, imagery, icons to be used across marketing, reports and tenders.
* Assist in maintaining Urban Enterprises social media presence.
General Support
* Manage multiple design tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and responding to priority requests.
* Liaise with internal staff and external suppliers (e.g. printers, web developers) where required.
* Contribute ideas for improving document quality, visual storytelling, and marketing effectiveness.
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential
* Proven experience in graphic design, document layout, or a similar role.
* Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word).
* Experience producing professional reports, proposals, or tender documents.
* Ability to design infographics, maps, and visual data representations.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality presentation.
* Ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple projects.
Desirable
* Experience in a consultancy, professional services, planning, or technical environment.
* Basic understanding of marketing principles and brand management.
* Experience working with mapping or GIS outputs for graphic presentation.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word and PowerPoint) for document formatting.
* Experience maintaining and updating websites.
