Responsibilities
* Design & build Oracle Databases
* Oracle standalone
* Oracle RAC
* Oracle ADG
* Golden Gate is added advantage
* Design & build MySQL / PostgreSQL Databases
* Standalone
* Master Slave configuration / DR setup
* Design & build Microsoft SQL Databases
* Standalone
* AlwaysOn
* Replication or Logshipping
* Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Centre knowledge
* Develop and maintain system documentation related to the database configuration
* Perform Patch & release management
* Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity
* React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools -- escalating to management where appropriate
* Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system
* Knowledge of following Operating System environments
* Redhat/Oracle Linux
* IBM AIX
* Oracle Solaris
* Windows Servers
Interpersonal Skills
* Proven ability to deliver results as required within specific time frames.
* Ability to work within a team in a cross cultural environment.
* Ability to work after hours.
Qualifications And Experience
* 5 - 7 years of experience as Database Admin on Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL.
* Formal IT related qualifications.
