Acu-Tech Piping Systems is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Redbank, QLD. This full-time role is critical to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production operations through proactive maintenance and technical support.
What You'll Be Doing
Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to identify faults and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Analyse and document test results in collaboration with the Production Team to support continuous improvement.
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and work closely with production staff to minimise operational downtime.
Maintain and service extrusion machines, including pump and gearbox repairs.
Prepare quotations for parts and repairs, manage supplier relationships, and source competitive quotes for non-standard items.
Support inventory and spare parts management to ensure timely availability of critical components.
Carry out additional duties as directed in accordance with company policies and operational needs.
Who You Are
Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or industrial settings
Restricted Electrical License (desirable but not essential)
Current Australian Driver's License and Forklift (LF) License
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and scheduling
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
