About the Position
Bond University Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine provides education to students in health degrees including Medicine, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Occupational Therapy. The Faculty has a personalised teaching model with emphasis on small class sizes and online and role‐play simulations for clinical learning.
A Simulated Participant is a staff member who portrays a patient, family member or client in a simulated or role‐play environment to meet learning objectives. Simulated Participants provide feedback to the learner and support a variety of educational activities such as History Taking or Physical Examination Skills.
Responsibilities
* Participate in simulation sessions as a patient, family member or client.
* Provide appropriate feedback to learners under tutor direction.
* Build positive relationships with diverse teams and maintain confidentiality.
* Fulfill performance requirements for each simulation activity.
* Collaborate with faculty to support learning objectives.

* High level of communication skills.
* Positive attitude and professional demeanour.
* Mutual respect, cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity in all professional relationships.
* Ability to provide constructive feedback to student health professionals.
* Commitment to Bond University Strategic Plan.
Desirable: Previous experience as a simulated participant or in simulated settings; fluency in a foreign language such as Indigenous languages, Arabic, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Punjabi, Mandarin, etc.

Salary
The hourly rate for this casual role is $49.70 (includes 25% casual loading) plus 12% superannuation.
