We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Junior Business Development Manager (JBDM) to support our Business Development Manager (BDM) and wider sales team. This hybrid role blends administrative support, event coordination, and partner relationship management, with a significant focus on travel to support business development activities, trade shows, and industry events.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth through seamless event support, strong partner engagement, and consistent on‑the‑ground presence at shows and exhibitions. While the role is primarily office‑based, regular travel is an essential and expected component of this position, with flexibility around working hours to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development Support
Work directly alongside the BDM, providing day‑to‑day administrative and operational support.
Maintain and strengthen referral partnerships, ensuring consistent communication and professional follow‑up.
Assist with preparing presentations, proposals, itineraries, and reports.
Coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and track leads and opportunities in CRM systems.
Event & Show Coordination
Plan, organise, and attend caravan, boat and trade shows that promote the company’s brand and support the sales team.
Manage logistics including venues, travel arrangements, accommodation, and promotional materials.
Organise and direct the sales team during shows, ensuring schedules are clear and clients are well supported.
Act as the central point of contact on event days, troubleshooting and ensuring a seamless experience.
Logistics & Travel
Create detailed itineraries for the BDM and sales staff, including travel and accommodation bookings.
Travel as required to assist with on‑site coordination and team support during shows and events.
Provide ongoing organisational support to ensure business trips and events run smoothly.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in client‑ and partner‑facing situations.
Experience preferred but not required in event planning, coordination, or marketing support.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to travel and work outside regular hours when required.
