Branch Manager – Lead Operations with Purpose
Location: Broken Hill | Full-Time
Are you a dynamic and experienced leader looking to make a real difference? We're seeking a Branch Manager to oversee and enhance the operations of a community-focused legal service committed to supporting people affected by family violence and sexual assault.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in an organisation that delivers legal services, support programs, and community education across regional Far West NSW and Queensland.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will work closely with the legal and counselling teams to ensure seamless daily operations and strategic leadership. You’ll oversee administrative and support staff, contribute to high-level planning, manage compliance and reporting, and act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, government agencies, and service providers.
This position is central to keeping the service running smoothly and efficiently—balancing frontline support with back-end coordination and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations across a multidisciplinary team
- Oversee finance tasks, budget reporting, payroll processes, and compliance
- Coordinate staffing, training, performance reviews, and recruitment
- Support legal and counselling teams with administration, reporting, and court-related tasks
- Maintain stakeholder relationships, including with government departments and suppliers
- Ensure records management, security, and confidentiality standards are upheld
- Contribute to community engagement, events, and marketing (including website and social media)
- Drive strategic improvements and ensure contractual obligations are met
- Travel to outreach locations as required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior operations or leadership role (minimum 2 years)
- Strong administration, organisation, and communication skills
- Experience in managing competing priorities with calm efficiency
- High-level computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of budget responsibilities is highly desirable
Requirements
- Open NSW Driver Licence
- Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
- National Police Clearance (if required)
- Willingness and ability to travel
