ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
This is a meaningful role where you will provide coordinated case management to clients through engagement, screening, needs assessment, and referrals to appropriate services within Interrelate and externally as required.
The focus of this position is supporting Male victims of Domestic and Family Violence (Safer Pathways), and your experience in case management combined with strong skills in managing high-conflict situations will be key to your success.
The role is primarily work-from-home, offering flexibility, however, you will need to attend Safety Action Meetings in person meetings in Katoomba, with a minimum expectation of attending a meeting once a fortnight. There may also be occasional face-to-face case management sessions from a local office space if required.
You will be servicing the Nepean and Blue Mountains areas, with infrequent attendance at our Hornsby/Gosford office to attend team building days, meetings, and/or training.
This is a Permanent Part time position with an hourly rate of $55.10 plus 12% superannuation.

KEY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Ensure the overall delivery and quality management of the Male DFV Victims Services, including meeting all KPI's
- Provide appropriate case coordination, generally through an initial telephone contact with client based on the relevant referral process:
- Liaise with the Police for additional contact information or to discuss changes of risk rating, where required.
- Prepare case file notes and quarterly reports for all victims supported according to the template that will be provided by Victims Services and appropriately record these in the specified database.
- Represent male victim(s) at "Serious Threat" at Safety Action Meetings (SAMs) as required and follow up with the male victim and discuss any safety action plan developed.
- Undertake intake assessment with clients to:
- assess suitability for services
- assess the person's / family's needs
- prioritise services
- assess risks (including suicide risk) and develop action plans to mitigate risks
- assist clients to develop their own goals and case/service plan
- make appropriate internal and external referrals
- refer to other services including scheduling people into their initial appointment with Interrelate practitioners / services
- Monitor progress and the changing needs of families while they are waiting for and receiving Interrelate services
- Provide case management and/or brief interventions to a caseload of clients

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, community welfare, counselling, psychology or related discipline, or a Graduate Diploma in counselling, community service, or equivalent in addition to holding a bachelor's degree that is not a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in case management with families along with the skills in managing high parental conflict whilst upholding the best interests of the child
- Demonstrated experience in therapeutic work with families and children, along with knowledge of child development, child protection, and family violence issues
- Ability to liaise with the community and build local networks including family law specialist and magistrates along with experience in dealing with the Family Law System
- The ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure positive outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
