Business Support Officer

This is a dynamic and engaging role that requires an individual with exceptional organisational skills, analytical abilities, and strong communication. The Business Support Officer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a business support infrastructure to assist the Service Manager, Operational and Clinical Leads in meeting the Trust's objectives and targets.


About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience of setting up office / administrative systems, analytical processes, planning, scheduling, and organising day-to-day work. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and autonomy in providing business support to managers and leads in data analysis for KPIs.


Key Responsibilities

* Data Analysis and Reporting: Request and manage activity reports for Service Manager and Team Leaders (e.g., timeliness, data quality, waiting times, KPIs). Analyse reports and extract data from all report formats for all Key Performance Indicators (Quantity & Quality) and feed this back to Service Manager, Operational and Clinical Lead in a format that can be used within Services / Teams for planning and supervision purposes.
* Administrative Support: Liaise with Corporate / Support Services to obtain performance data (activity, workforce, finance). Manage travel arrangements, meetings, and events as directed by the Service Manager.
* Quality Improvement: Work with Corporate Services to identify areas of under-recording of clinical activity and collaborate with Services / Teams to improve recording and data quality.


Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent level of experience
* Experience in the NHS and knowledge/experience of Patient Clinical System
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
