Setting the standard with OH&S systems, modern equipment and a great team environment.This is a permanent role based out of our Thomastown depot, with an excellent salary including quarterly company productivity bonus payments.ResponsibilitiesCarry out general fabrication and fitter duties.Operate safely fabrication plant equipment including a small brake press, mill, and lathe.Read plans, work to a timeframe and complete fabrication projects on plant and equipment with a high-end finish.Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance tasks.Conduct quality checks to maintain product integrity.Provide onsite support on medium rigid and heavy rigid trucks when required.Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and contributing to the safety of self and others.Work independently when required and maintain a clean and organized workspace.To be successful in the role you willBe a Qualified Fitter & Turner with hands on fabrication experience or have a valid boilermaker/welding trade qualification or experienceProven high-quality TIG and MIG welding skillsHave a proven track record of designing and fabricating high-quality custom metal projectsDemonstrate a strong attention to detailDemonstrate an uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and proceduresProven ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issuesExtensive experience and knowledge with medium rigid and high rigid vehiclesCurrent HR and Forklift license desirableWhat Star Drilling can offer youExcellent wages and conditions, including a flexible RDOFull time position with Annual LeaveCompany productivity bonusesModern fleet of equipmentFriendly and collaborative workforceSupportive Management TeamStrong commitment to training and developmentModern and well-equipped workshop
