About the role
We currently have a position available for a reliable and passionate Companion carer to join our team in Griffith NSW, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team. The role will vary between day and night shifts, so sleepover experience is essential.
Responsibilities will include:
* Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
* Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
* Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
* Preparing meals as needed
* Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
* Responding to emergency situations
* Weekend and overnight shifts
* Experience with people experiencing cognitive decline
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
* Experience with sleepovers
* Current National Police Check
* Current First Aid & CPR certificates

Pay: From $40.93 per hour
Schedule:
* 12 hour shift
* Afternoon shift
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday
* Morning shift
* Night shift
* Weekend availability
Supplementary Pay:
* Penalty rates
