An opportunity has become available for a motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join our team at the Brisbane Immigration Detention Centre in Pinkenba. This full‐time position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and is looking to build a long‐term career in finance.
Reporting directly to the Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Your attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and commitment to meeting deadlines will support the smooth operation of our finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct reconciliations, and ensure accurate entry and verification of vendor entries on a daily basis
* Process vendor payments in a timely manner ensuring appropriate approvals have been applied; liaise with vendors regarding finance enquiries
* Maintain all records in accordance with company procedures and as required by Australian Accounting Standards and ATO
* Conduct analysis of accounts, problem‐solving and produce monthly reports for the Financial Controller
About You
* Experience with NetSuite desired
* Previous experience in a similar role
* General knowledge of accounting principles
* Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
* Ability to pass required health assessments
* Eligibility to hold or obtain a Working with Children Check
* Proof of double COVID‐19 vaccination
