This full time role is suitable for someone looking to build and establish their career with a high-end retail brand in the interior design industry. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Showroom Consultant will help service the industry's leading interior designers, architects and stylists as well as our retail clientele.Reporting to the Managing Director, the Showroom Consultant will help service the industry's leading interior designers, architects and stylists as well as our retail clientele.
A passion for interiors and strong administrative skills are required to work with our clients in the showroom on wide-ranging residential and commercial projects. The Showroom Consultant will be a self-driven, motivated and reliable individual who will be able to effectively liaise with all internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working directly with designers / architects / retail clients in our showroom to specify our broad range of rug and carpet options - including custom work;
- Issuing quotes/product specs to clients and carpet tender responses to builders;
- Liaising directly with sub-contractors to coordinate deliveries and carpet installations;
- Assisting with the overall day to day running of the showroom to ensure it's perfectly displayed;
- Ensuring our client's sample libraries are up to date;
- Working at trade fairs and other events to represent our brand;
**Requirements**:
- Previous sales experience in high-end retail / design industry is highly desirable;
- Resourcefulness with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills;
- Strong attention to detail with the capability to multi-task, problem solve and effectively achieve team objectives;
- Strong administrative and organisational skills including high level computer literacy
- Experience in the day-to-day operations of a retail business or in another fast-paced environment;
Advantageous skills (not necessarily required)
- Experience or education in the design industry;
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite;
- Experience working with architectural plans;
- Experience with Zoho CRM;
- Experience with international freight and logistics;
