Opportunity

The WA Comprehensive Kids Cancer Centre integrates the clinical excellence delivered at Perth Children's Hospital and the research expertise of the Kids Research Institute Australia and The University of Western Australia. The Kids Research Institute Australia delivers the Centre's laboratory research arm via its cancer research teams and works alongside clinicians to improve childhood cancer outcomes. Our vision is to create a future where all kids with cancer survive and thrive.

Due to continued growth of our team, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to provide support to the General Manager, Scientific Director, Clinical Director, and the wider WA Comprehensive Cancer Centre team, ensuring that priorities and competing deadlines are met through proactive administration and stakeholder engagement. This role works collaboratively with leadership, researchers, the clinical team, and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate logistics for a high volume of meetings and support planning of Centre events.
* Secretariat support including preparation of agendas, meeting papers, and taking minutes for allocated committees.
* Support coordination of domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation, conference registration and travel insurance.
* Assist financial administration such as raising purchase orders, invoice requests, reconciling credit cards, and arranging reimbursements and honorarium payments.

Based in our modern offices within Perth Children's Hospital, this part‐time (0.4-0.6 FTE) position will be offered for an initial 1‐year period.

About You

* High level of attention to detail with demonstrated ability to show initiative.
* Excellent organisational skills, flexibility and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
* Demonstrated secretariat experience including coordination and logistics for a high volume of meetings with exceptional minute‐taking skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships.
