Our client is a large, established real estate private credit fund known for their commerciality and track record in the mid-market property sector. Due to growth within the business, they would like to hire an Investment Manager to enhance and add value to the organisation. This role will be predominantly execution focused and will come in at several parts of the transaction process.
In this role, you will oversee and monitor the loan book including covenant compliance, reporting on risk, structuring credit letters and term sheets and liaising with stakeholders regarding recovery actions. This team works collaboratively with Originators for structuring input and broader strategic guidance offering a great opportunity to remain hands on in a credit role embedded within the credit decision process.
The ideal candidate will have years' of experience in a credit risk or real estate lending role, preferably from a non-bank lender. Candidates coming from domestic banks may also be in a relationship manager/originator role, bad bank/lending services divisions and property risk.
It is imperative that candidates have experience and an understanding of construction finance and a strong track record of recent credit review responsibilities for transactions. Candidates must have an ability to balance portfolio risk and return, ensuring good deals are being executed in line with the risk appetite and strategy of the organisation. You will also have deep expertise in real estate valuation, underwriting and assessing deals in the property sector.
