ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. To learn more please visitwww.serco.com/ahscAbout the Role You will be responsible for the provision of dental services to patients, including but not limited to emergency treatments, general examinations and preventative treatments, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments and design/management of prosthodontics. In this role you will liaise with the senior dental officer (depending on clinic size), medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers where needed to provide comprehensive dental care. You will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining the good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures, ensuring patients are dentally fit for deployment.To be successful in this role, you will have:The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum 2 years full-time post graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.About Stirling Located approximately 45km South of Perth, the Stirling Health Centre is on base at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island. This base has a 4km causeway that connects the island to the mainland of Rockingham, and the health centre itself offers physiotherapy, dentistry, pharmaceutical, general medical and outpatient services, and provides support to the Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit.
