As Chief Executive Officer, you'll work in partnership with the Board to set strategy, deliver the Strategic Plan, and ensure services remain responsive, compliant, and impactful.
You'll be entrusted with autonomy to lead, but backed by a longstanding and experienced operational team and Board that values collaboration and clear direction.
With the foundations in place, your focus will be on growth - strengthening referral networks, raising the organisation's profile in Townsville, and ensuring the service continues to respond to the changing needs of participants and families.
Key Responsibilities Work in partnership with the Board to create, execute, and monitor the organisation's Strategic Plan Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring services are responsive to individual participant needs and delivered in line with NDIS requirements Lead organisational culture by fostering psychological safety, motivating staff, and promoting teamwork across all levels Manage finances to budget, including preparation of annual budgets, financial reports, and oversight of audits Develop, implement, and review policies, procedures, and service models that support growth, quality, and compliance Build and maintain trusted relationships with participants, families, staff, and community stakeholders Liaise with government departments, local authorities, and sector partners to strengthen advocacy and referral networks Provide clear leadership to staff through induction, training, performance management, and professional development Promote the organisation's mission and values externally, enhancing the reputation of people with disability in the community About You A strategic and purpose-driven leader who is motivated by creating impact and leaving a legacy Experienced in governance and confident working in partnership with a Board Financially astute with proven success in managing budgets, compliance, and reporting requirements Skilled in leading and developing people - able to inspire, support, and hold staff accountable while fostering a positive, safe culture An authentic communicator, capable of building trust with staff, participants, families, and external stakeholders Knowledge of disability services and the NDIS is valued, but not essential - what matters most is empathy, adaptability, and vision Seeking a long-term role (5+ years), with the ability to grow the organisation and build on its robust foundations The Benefits Salary starting at $150,000 base + Super + Vehicle + Phone allowance, negotiable with experience Full-time, permanent role | Based in Townsville Financially sound organisation - no reliance on new funding or partnerships A provider that genuinely reinvests into its services to improve participant care and satisfaction Supportive, longstanding Board with clear governance and trust in the CEO A stable, respected organisation with room to grow - make your mark on its next chapter Attractive North Queensland lifestyle: vibrant community, relaxed pace, and enviable work–life balance #J-18808-Ljbffr
