The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Finance Officer (Accounting) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Support the Senior Finance Officer by carrying out financial tasks essential to month-end, quarterly, and year-end reporting
* Assist with tax compliance reviews and contribute to the preparation of statutory returns
* Monitor and review financial data to ensure accuracy, compliance and alignment with policies
* Support the team by supervising and mentoring temporary staff such as interns and students
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* While not mandatory, a relevant accounting qualification and studying towards a Certified Practising Accountant or Chartered Accountant designation would be well regarded
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

* Permanent full time
* Base salary ranging from $93 556 - $103 074 per annum
