What You’ll Be Doing Building rapport with students through positive, friendly engagement Providing after-hours support and responding to wellbeing concerns Conducting presence-based walkthroughs (non-enforcement focused) Assisting with student lockouts, enquiries, and amenity access Coordinating with on-call emergency or security services when required Logging incidents and updates in reporting systems Supporting student engagement and community-building initiatives Liaising with university staff and residential life teams Light administrative and concierge-style responsibilities Who We’re Looking For We’re interested in two types of candidates: Experienced Security Officers seeking a more community-focused, people-centric role People-focused professionals (e.g. community services, allied health, education, youth work, student support, multicultural services, hospitality or customer service) who hold a current ACT Security Licence You’ll thrive in this role if you: Communicate with empathy and professionalism Remain calm, approachable, and composed under pressure Enjoy helping others and building trust Want your work to have genuine social impact Have strong customer service experience Are confident completing written reports Are IT-competent and detail-oriented Are willing to learn and develop What You’ll Need (or Be Willing to Obtain) ACT Security Licence First Aid & CPR Certificate Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Working with Vulnerable People Check (ACT) Willingness to complete Trauma-Informed Care and Mental Health First Aid training Why Join CONSTANT?
