About Us
Overall Forge has been proudly manufacturing in Australia for over 100 years, supplying industries across the Asia-Pacific region. From forging and heat treatment to machining and testing, we do it all in-house. We’re big enough to be secure and established, but small enough that you’ll know everyone’s name.
The Role
Reporting to our Maintenance Manager, you’ll keep the wheels turning (literally). Your days will be full of variety—from keeping our electrical equipment in top condition to getting hands-on with new installs and inspections. You’ll:
- Carry out electrical maintenance and fault finding on plant equipment.
- Support safe work practices and hazard management.
- Maintain PLCs, HMIs and furnaces.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Get involved in preventative maintenance and annual shutdowns.
- Lend a hand to other trades and mentor apprentices.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
- Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and older plant equipment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and safety-first mindset.
- A team-oriented spirit and the ability to keep things light even when the work is heavy.
- (Bonus points for Class B gas appliance ticket, Confined Space/EWP, or gas fitter quals—but not essential as we will arrange training).
