We are seeking an experienced Finance SAP S/4HANA Cloud expert to our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mix of finance/accounting practices and SAP systems knowledge, focusing heavily on the functional side of the system. This role is a critical BAU function providing expert support and maintaining system functionality, specifically distinguishing between issues stemming from training needs and those requiring formal escalation to SAP.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud modules (e.g., Finance, Accounting, SD) and provide first-level support for user queries.
* Analyse business requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and recommend standard SAP Cloud functionality solutions.
* Support integration activities between SAP and non-SAP applications.
* Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests within the system.
* Collaborate effectively with business users, implementation partners, and SAP support to ensure prompt and effective issue resolution.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and test scripts.
* Support system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release management activities.
* Participate in various projects as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* In-depth product knowledge of Finance SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
* A strong background in accounting practices and finance operations to understand the requirements of the finance team.
* Proven ability to distinguish between user training issues and core system issues requiring SAP escalation.
* Finance qualification or equivalent professional experience (e.g., CA or CPA).
* Ideally experience as a SAP FICO consultant with a strong functional orientation rather than a technical one.
